Falcon 9 Block 5 is a two-stage, partially reusable orbital rocket built by SpaceX. Starlink is the company's broadband megaconstellation, which now numbers more than 7,000 operational satellites in orbit.

Yes. According to SpaceX, Falcon 9 lifted off on schedule and completed a nominal ascent, with the second stage delivering the Starlink Group 10-45 satellites to their intended low-Earth-orbit deployment altitude of roughly 550 km.

Starlink Group 10 missions target the constellation's shell inclined at about 53 degrees, providing coverage across the most heavily populated latitudes on Earth. Each dedicated Starlink flight typically carries between 20 and 24 of the upgraded V2 Mini satellites.

What is the payload?

The payload was a stack of Starlink V2 Mini satellites, SpaceX's flat-panel spacecraft designed to beam low-latency broadband to consumer terminals worldwide. Once deployed, the satellites use onboard krypton-fueled Hall-effect thrusters to raise themselves from the initial parking orbit to their operational altitude.

The Starlink network is the largest satellite constellation ever built, and SpaceX continues to launch new batches at a cadence of several missions per month to expand capacity and replace older units.

How does the booster recovery work?

Falcon 9's first stage is designed for reuse. After stage separation, the booster performs a controlled re-entry and lands on an autonomous droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean, several hundred kilometers downrange. SpaceX has reflown individual Falcon 9 boosters more than 20 times, and rapid reuse is central to the company's ability to sustain a high Starlink launch rate.

The payload fairing halves are also recovered from the ocean and refurbished for future missions, further lowering the cost of each flight.
