Privacy policy
Effective July 15, 2026 · Cosmik is operated by Nanogramme LLC (Delaware, USA). Contact: hi@gocosmik.com
The short version
Cosmik works without an account. We don't know your name and don't want to. The only personal data we ever hold is what you explicitly give us to deliver alerts — an email address, a Telegram chat, a push subscription, and the location you choose for pass predictions. We never sell data.
What we collect
- Anonymous usage analytics (PostHog, Google Analytics): pages viewed, features used, coarse location derived from IP, device type. Tied to a random anonymous id, not your identity.
- Alert data you opt into: your chosen location (for ISS pass predictions), and the channel you pick — email address, Telegram chat id, or a browser push subscription. Stored with an anonymous account id (Supabase, EU/US infrastructure). Deleting is one click in every email footer or a message to us.
- Payments (Cosmik Pro): handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers — we store only your subscription status.
Advertising
Content pages (guides, news, city pages) may show ads served by Google AdSense. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, ad cookies are off by default and only enabled if you accept the consent banner; decline and ads stay non-personalized or absent. Google's use of advertising cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. The interactive 3D app itself never shows ads. Cosmik Pro removes ads entirely.
What we never collect
- No account, name, or password — the app is login-free by design.
- No precise GPS unless you tap "use exact location", and it is used only in your browser and, if you enable alerts, to predict passes.
- No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties beyond the processors named above (Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Telegram, Google).
Your rights
You can request access to or deletion of anything tied to your alert profile at any time: email hi@gocosmik.com from the address you registered, or message the Telegram bot. EEA/UK visitors have the rights described in the GDPR; we honor them for everyone.
Changes
We'll update this page when practices change; the effective date above always reflects the current version.
