What happened?
SpaceX successfully launched the Starlink Group 10-35 mission on a Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, on 8 June 2026 at 10:13:50 UTC. Starlink is SpaceX's low-Earth-orbit broadband constellation, delivering high-speed internet to users worldwide from an altitude of roughly 550 km.
Falcon 9 is a two-stage, partially reusable orbital rocket standing 70 meters tall, the workhorse of SpaceX's fleet and the most-flown operational launch vehicle in the world. This flight added another batch of Starlink satellites to a constellation that already numbers more than 7,000 operational spacecraft.

What was the payload?
The payload was a batch of Starlink v2 Mini broadband satellites bound for a low-Earth-orbit shell. Each Starlink v2 Mini spacecraft carries upgraded phased-array antennas and more bandwidth capacity than the earlier v1.5 generation. Once deployed, the satellites raise themselves to their operational altitude of approximately 550 km using onboard krypton-fueled ion thrusters.
Starlink is the largest satellite constellation ever built. Group designations such as "10-35" identify the specific orbital shell and the sequential mission number within it, part of SpaceX's steady deployment cadence that has seen the company launch multiple Starlink missions per week.
Where did it launch from?
The rocket flew from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. SLC-40 is one of SpaceX's primary East Coast launch pads and has supported hundreds of Falcon 9 flights, including a large share of the Starlink program's east-coast launches. Its coastal location allows boosters to return to a droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean downrange.
How does booster reuse work?
The Falcon 9 first stage is designed for rapid reuse. After separating from the second stage, the booster performs a controlled descent, reignites its engines for a landing burn, and touches down on an autonomous droneship at sea. SpaceX has flown individual boosters more than 20 times, and reuse is central to the economics that allow the company to sustain its high Starlink launch rate.

SpaceX continuously replenishes and expands the constellation. Satellites are gradually deorbited at the end of their roughly five-year service life, and new launches add capacity and coverage. The result is a launch tempo unmatched in spaceflight history, with Starlink missions accounting for the majority of Falcon 9 flights each year.
