Get your aurora tours featured on the forecast for your town
Cosmik publishes a live aurora forecast page for hundreds of towns, in 10 languages. If you run tours from one of them, we'll show you there as the local guide — free. All we ask is a link from your site back to that forecast.
The featured local guide — how it works
You send four things
Your name, your website, one or two sentences about your tours in your own words, and your logo. Reply by email — no form, no account.
We add you to your town's page
A clearly labelled “Local guide” card on the live forecast page for your town (and nearby towns you really cover), in all 10 languages the page is published in.
You link back to the forecast
A normal link from your site — a conditions or FAQ page is perfect — to our live forecast for your town. If the link comes down, the card does too.
Straight about the traffic
Cosmik is a young, independent site. Our aurora town pages get modest traffic today, and it grows through the season as storms hit the news. We won't quote you a big number here: ask, and we'll send you the real page views for your own town. The listing is free, we take no commission and we don't sell tours ourselves. Each town page shows at most two operators, first come first listed; if we ever add paid placements we'll tell you beforehand, and you can leave whenever you like.
Straight about the forecast
The page shows NOAA's live geomagnetic forecast, the activity level your town typically needs and tonight's cloud cover. It says “possible” and “unlikely”, never “guaranteed” — the same honest odds you give your own guests.
A free live forecast for your own site
Prefer to show the forecast on your website? The live aurora card for your town — Kp now, the activity level your town needs, and tonight's cloud cover — is one copy-paste snippet. Free for any site, commercial included, no signup. It carries a small “Live forecast by Cosmik” credit; that's what keeps it free.
Straight answers
What does the Local guide listing cost?
Nothing. No fee and no commission — we don't sell tours ourselves. The only condition is a normal link from your site to our live forecast for your town; if the link comes down, the card does too.
Can I put the forecast on my own site?
Yes, for free: the aurora card for your town is one copy-paste snippet from gocosmik.com/widgets. It updates itself and carries a small “Live forecast by Cosmik” credit — that credit is what keeps it free.
I already have an operator account. Does it still work?
Yes. Existing accounts, embeds and guest alerts keep running as before; log in at gocosmik.com/operators/login. We've only stopped selling new paid plans.
